On the Road: Podil, in the Heart of Kiev

Podil is, simultaneously, the oldest and the newest district of Kiev: this historical area is, nowadays, one of the most dynamic and coolest areas in Ukraine’s capital.

Podil is full of stylish cafés and restaurants, art galleries and cultural centers, street art and historical orthodox churches, and it became one of my favorite areas during my last trip to Kiev.

Nonetheless, from Podil is easy to reach Kiev’s city center (you just need some ‘legs’ to climb Andriivskyi descent) or even admire Dnipro river, crossing Pishokhidnyy bridge and visit the local beach.

After almost one month in Kiev, this is, undoubtedly, my recommendation if you’re planning to visit the ukrainian capital. These days will be posting some photos from Podil!

Over the last years I’ve managed and developed this blog as a meeting point to connect travelers and bloggers, writers and photographers, you and me. Feel free to support PedroL: you can donate $1 dollar ~ 0.85€; purchase one of my ebooks; or subscribe premium that will give you access to more than 50 curated articles during one year. Either way you chose will help me to keep this project, thanks!
