More than 3 thousand books in less than 4 square meters. Inside, shelves covering the walls make a corridor that can accomodate only two persons simultaneously.

A claustrophobic place or a paradise for book lovers, what is your opinion?? This is the tiniest bookstore of Lisbon. Probably one of the tiniest bookstores in the world!

Who founded this bookstore? What kind of books does it offer? What stories has this iconic place? This is just one of the stops I will take everyone who decides to take the Lisbon Literary Tour, starting next January (more info soon!).

  1. I like books but So many books in such a small space would make it hard to really see what is in there. 4 square meters is awfully small. But they obviously have shoppers so they can make a profit and stay open.

    • I know what you mean! In fact, if you’re looking for a precise book you should ask the owner because he knows easily where to find it lol also, because it’s only possible to have 2 persons at the same time, sometimes I had to wait… But to be honest this bookstore is really special and has a unique vibe 🙂 plus, if you go with time, you can speak with the owner and learn a lot of interesting stuff, from literature… to life 🙂 have a great weekend, cheers from Lisbon, PedroL
